Challenge # 105 - "B Stands for Bear"

Bears are on our mind.  You can enter anything with any type of bear.  It can be a toy. a real bear or a cartoon one.  Look through those stamps and digitals and see what you can find to use.

I chose to use a baby bear for my card.  It is a digital on Stitchey Bear Outlet created by Dusty Bear.  The bear is colored with Copic and sits on a background of an assortment of Washi tape.  I love the way these particular tapes come together to make a pastel background.  My sentiment is an acrylic sticker which says "Marvelous".  I think this card is perfect for a new mother.

I covered a piece of card randomly with red and yellow Pan Pastels and then brushed this lightly with a thin layer of white gesso. I then used a stencil with hearts, first using red Pan Pastel and then a thin smear of white gesso, gently wiping some of this so that the years became pink. I got the idea to use Pan Pastels and gesso in this way here. I printed out the digital image of Beary Dust Stamps 'ballerina bear' kindly supplied by the challenge sponsor, Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet. I coloured this with spectrum noir pens. I added some small pink hearts on to the larger hearts dotting with liquid pearls gold, adding some also to the bear, the sentiment oval and the chipboard number 1 that had been coloured with a spectrum.

Week 1 of B is for Bear I used Ballerina Bear and she had to be coloured pink, this would be a cute first birthday or a baby shower card, she is so adorable. I layered it on pretty in pink and some patterned paper that was on my table, it was perfect for the image. I decorated the bows and around the edges of the dress with a pink spica glitter pen and then added the pink rhinestones.

For the first week of “B is for Bear”, I created a card that is a 100% digital using an image kindly given by Stitchey Bear. All the papers and elements are from the internet. Hope you play along with us.  Have a magical week!

My first card for this challenge features a card I made with one of the images from Dusty Bear, which I made for Valentine's Day. I colored the digital image with pencils and outlined with an ink pen. I used a variety of patterned papers for the background and punched hearts out of the same designer papers.  I also added some borders to decorate the corners.   I hope you'll make something featuring a bear and then join the challenge!
