Second Week of Being "Charmed"

This is the beginning of the second week of Just Some Lines' challenge using a charm.

My little image is hanging on to my charm which really looks like an oversized stone.  She is colored with Copic markers and I thought the rub-on sentment was perfect for her,  I very aeldom use stickers and I have so many of them so the little hearts were placed on the border.  It seems that everything I have done the past two weeks has either been red or pink. Maybe my color scheme will change after Valentine's Day.

Christmas in July

Well, if I start now with my Christmas cards, I will have them all done by December.  Right?  Well, that will never happen!  However, I did want to join Cheery Lynn Designs' challenge Christmas in July.  I have used the a digital picture of an antique Santa and placed him behind the Window A die which is a Cheery Lynn Designs die.  I placed the "glass" for the window panes with plastic found in packages of cling stamps which I have been saving.

Next is the Christmas tree which is a Tim Holtz die.  I decorated it with peel off stickers, which is the topic of the challenge at Classy Cards and Such's CCNS # 11 Peel-off Stickers.  I next decorated the window with the inner design of the Cheery Lynn Rectangle Celtic Fire die.  In the center I placed a holly and berry embellishment.  The sentiment was placed on pop dots giving the card an even more third dimension.

All the Cheery Lynn dies can be found at Cheery Lynn Designs and at Classy Cards and Such.

OK,  Here it is July and I now have one Christmas card finished!

Look at the Color!

You have a week left to enter this colorful challenge.  You can create anything you wish as long as it is colorful.  Take a peek at some more inspiration for this challenge.

Since my challenge is being sponsored by Copic, I decided to use them in a different manner this time.  I use the markers to airbrush the background of my tag.  The flowers and greeting are by Stampin' Up.  I used Memories Artprint Brown ink to stamp the images.  After that I added two colorful butterfly stickers and a scrap piece of red rafia and my tag was finished.

This reminds me of a glorious sunset in a field of flowers.  Aren't you glad God gave us color?

This is my colorful bonanza card! I wanted to try coloring on a background that was already colorful. So I started with a piece of card stock that I'd saturated with watercolor jewels from Zia Stamps in multiple shades of blue. I stamped a Sweet Pea Stamp, another image by Ching Chou Kuik, this one is called "Dance of Butterfly." I liked the idea of stamping the mermaid on a blue background. She is colored with colored pencils -- I used just about every color that I have! I cut that image and attached it to some yellowish card stock. The card that serves as a base for everything was also heavily colored by me, but with several colors of starburst stains. I chose the pale green ribbon to make a border on the diagonal ends because it reminded me of seaweed. Enjoy and keep coloring!

The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the garden is brimming with colour and so are the papers from Cosmo Cricket. Every time I look at them I have to smile. I layered the papers, punched (Stampin' Up edge punch) and machine-stitched them and mounted them onto a plain square card and Bazill Basics paper. The stamped images are from Elzybells and coloured with Copics and Koh-i-noors. The little canvas is paper-pieced with Cosmo Cricket paper and the image layer also machine-stitched around the edges. The final touches are some ribbon and little buttons from my stash.

A Winner and An Arch

Congratulations to Pankti.  She was No. 10 of the entries and that is the number the random generator picked.  Her card was posted in the winner's spot on my sidebar.  If I don't post a special post announcing the winner of my challenges, you can always find who it is there.

Now for my post.  I am entering the "Butterflies" challenge on Gothic Arches.  I don't usually like to use stickers, but these lovely ones were given to me by a secret pal.  i reallyt like the gold trim as it makes them really pop.  As a special touch I added a glass fragment with a butterfly in it.  The stamping is by Stampin' Up.  I picked a very dull paper and stamped with Autumm Brown as I wanted the butterlies draw your attention.
