Challenge #92, All That Jazz!

We are excited to start a new two week challenge featuring "All That Jazz" and all things musical!  As usual the design team has all kinds of creative inspiration to get you started.
Vicki
My card made me remember all the dances I went to while I was in high schoo.  The main image is from my sponsor, Stitchy Bear and the pennants are from Gecko Galz.  At my dances we usually had pennants hanging around the walls.

I've used some sheet music that I found on the internet and created my card digitally in Microsoft Picture It, adding digital images taken from Jazz Band, kindly supplied by Stitchy Bear's digi outlet.

Michele
Do you love music? I do.  So I love this two week theme.  For my card I worked with musical instrument digital images generously provided by our challenge sponsor Sticthy Bear stamps and combined them with images in my stash from FrenchKissed postcards (FKP).  The background paper is a digital background by FKP. I digitally added the harp and grand piano, from the "all that jazz" collection.  I then added my cut out vintage lady, also by FKP  My lovely chanteuse is surrounded by butterflies from my stash.

Karla
For the first week of “All that jazz”, I’ve created a card using a silhouette kindly provided by our sponsor Stitchy Bear Stamps. It is a sax: an instrument that I really love.I adorned it some crystals, some flowers, bows and an immortal quote which was found on the net. The papers are from Brazilian designers. The man playing sax is from my stash. I thought I’d never use that sticker but the opportunity presented itself. Have a magical week and keep playing along with us!

Leona
I have used this fabulous image of a drum kit for my card today and as it is silhouette, I have kept the colour palette simple.  The digi is available from Stitchy bear outlet.

Once again we are grateful to our challenge sponsor:

Challenge #57-"Work is Good"

The challenge for the next two weeks is "Work is Good"  The Design Team would like to see how many different occupations you show in your entries.  Below are some pieces of inspiration from the Design Team.  I hope you like what you see here and will take part.

Vicki
Isn't this a cute image from KennyK Downloads?  I just love the outfit.  I colored the image with Copic markers placed them on a Martha Stewart punch out.  The background is a combination of striped and solid designer papers.  My chef looks as if she is really to dish out anything you might want.

Michele
I thought this professional looking woman from Kenny K would make a great image for a congratulations card celebrating a new job or even a graduation and transition into working life.  She seems smart, beautiful and ready to take on the world!  The congratulations stamp is by Denami Designs.

Sharon
My card uses a great image from our sponsor along with some digital patterned papers from SheryKDesigns Etsy Store and I used the current sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Petra
Dress for success - a wonderful image from our sponsor. I coloured the very smartly dressed Business Lady with Copics and colouring pencils and layered it on patterend paper from EchoPark.

Krisha
Love this image, and decided to go with an invitation to dinner.
Since I am going to be doing many of these they were created on Printshop.  Then the colors on the image were added along with the embellishments.

Kenny K is our generous sponsor for our fun theme. My chef is a top cupcake creator and says her work is so much fun that it doesn't feel like work. I gave her uniform pink buttons, and added cute cupcake DP as background to showcase her specialty. I am looking forward to see all the fun jobs portrayed!

I am honored to have KennyK Downloads as my sponsor for this challenge.  They have some wonderful and very unique images.

Autumn Leaves - Challenge #3

This week the Guest Designer Krisha (LaCretia Olge) has design a piece for our newest Challenge "Autumn Leaves" I think you will agree with that the colors are beautiful. If you have a chance drop down and leave her a comment.

Krisha

Fall is here is all its glory and there are leaves all round in an enormous array of colors. This challenge is to see what colors you see in leaves. Please post your link directly to your entry and not to your blog itself. Entries should be new and not from previous posting.

Notice that each challenge last two weeks so that gives you plenty of time to put in an entry. If you haven't made an entry into Challenge #2, please find that posting below.

More Leaves

Here are two views of a plaque I made to look like wood using acrylic paints on a base of gesso.  The center is a stamped image that I enlarged.

Bordering the greeting are leaves that I created with solid cardstock.  The colors of the leaves were airbrushed with Copic markers and I bent and twisted the leaves so they would have a realistic look.  Look closely behind the two main groups of leaves.  Can you tell what that mesh-looking stuff is?  Would you believe that it is the netting that was around my turkey last year.  Yes, I save everything!

I am posting "Leaves" to remind everyone that I have a challenge with the theme "Leaves".    Get your juices flowing and enter my challenge.

Also, time is running out on Challenge #2 "Think Pink".  It will be ending Sunday evening so get those entries in.
