A Sympathy Card

This beautiful angel is from Shelly's Images.  I  placed her on a diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs called Waltzing Matilda.  The entire focal point was then put on a card which had been embossed with a folder.  I decided not to highlight the embossing.  The image was colored with Copic markers.  As an added embellishment I put some white flowers in the corner.  I think this makes a great sympathy card.  This card is being entered in CDAC's Progressive Challenge.

I'm Late; I'm Late for an Important Date

I am not really late, but I am quickly falling behind.  Please forgive me for not posting a comment to every entry the past couple of challenges  I have been busy setting up the next 9 posts ahead of time I have been looking ahead to my vacation without losing a week of posting, getting images, creating samples and getting samples from the Design Team.  This has really been a time-consuming task.  Even though I may not have made a comment I have been looking at each one of the entries. They have been amazing, especially the entries for the challenge that will be ending this coming Sunday.

I will be MIA from March 15 through April 4. However, with the help of the DT, the challenges will go on and winners for Challenges 55 and 56 will be posted late-- April 4. Winners will be contacted as usual.

Second Week of "Anything But a Card"

We are anxious to see what you can creative other than a card.  The Design Team is getting their inspiration from Creative Cuts and More.

Vicki
I love the way my cake box turned out.  I trimed the outside with some beautiful wide lace and for the top I used a Trellis diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Using double-sided redline tape I taped the small strips to the top of the box and then trimmed it down to fit the top.  I feel I  tmade the box rather elegant looking and great for a special party..

I am also entering this in CDAC's "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Krisha
Cute little purse with Inkadinkado sentiment in Ocean Blue ink. Rhinestones, ribbon and feather to finish it off. Pin wheel is made of a patterned cs with a rhinestone heart in the middle and of course more feathers.

Michele
For my second week creation I altered a plain black jewelry box. I need to give a birthday gift next week and thought I would take advantage of the "anything but a card" challenge to decorate the box which will soon hold some birthday jewels! I covered the black lid in gold tissue paper. I added a few additional layers including some decorative paper and a different patterned tissue paper. The bird image is from Itkupilli and the charm came from Alpha Stamps. I have a shoe box full of little empty jewelry boxes which I use for gifts and I think I'm going to decorate some more!

Sharon
My tag is based on Tim Holtz's February tag for 2013 and uses a great Queen of Hearts image from Angie Delarie Scrapbooking along with various embellishments!
Petra
This weeks I created a banner using one of Creative Cuts and More Banner pages to create a banner for my Easter Market. I covered the pages with October Afternoon papers, cut scalloped circles and rosettes. The chipboard letters are painted and covered with Stickles. As embellishments I added little pearls and paper flowers. The individual banner paper are joined by bits of satin ribbon

Just Some Lines' Challenge

Just Some Lines is having one of my favorite challenges and that is "Make a Tag".  There are so many possibilities in making a tag.  Here is my inspiration for the challenge.

I did something a little different for my background.  It just happened that I had a page from a magazine sitting beside me.  I had torn it out to use on another project.  I thought the picture of flowers would make the perfect background for this doggie with a hat of flowers.  The image, of course, is from Just Some Lines  Coloring was done with Copic markers and the sentiment is computer generated.

Challenge #54 -"Anything But a Card"

Let's change pace today by having a challenge of entering "Anything But a Card".  Creative Cuts and More  has so many interest templates and decuts for you to decorate.  Let's see what goodies the Desigtn Team has made.

Vicki
This is a Peek-a-Boo box from Creative Cuts and More.  I embossekd the two pieces, top and bottom, with a folder and my Big Kick and then highlighted with Vintage Photo ink.  Doing this gave it so much body and made the cardstock look richer in color.  On top I put a couple of punched flowers, a lace flower and a butterfly.  A stone was put in the middle of the lace flower.  To give the top a little more interest I put a ribbon under the flower.

The acetate center of the box comes already scored to fit.  Inside are a few candies which I am sure will disappear as soon as my hubby spots the boc.

Krisha
I used the milk carton for my project. Light green cs stamped with Inkadinkado stamps and Memories soft leaf ink pad, with a row of trim around the top. Sentiment on an oval with pearl embellishments. Tied closed with a green satin ribbon from Ann Griffin.

Michele
Well I never tried this before! I started with a "purse" template from Creative Cuts (I wish I'd thought to take a photo of the template itself). I decorated with card stock, sweet baby images from Itkupilli, pearls and flowers. I taped it all together and am pretty happy with the results. This is one purse, two sides shown here. Now that I've tried this I may get braver about making things other than cards! Hope you feel brave too and join our challenge!
Petra B

For this week's challenge I recycled two containers painting them with spray paint, stamped on them, sprayed again and eventually decorated the containers with lots of lace and pearls. The little darling ladies are digital images which I layered on music sheets.

If you are interested in showing your enteries in thumbnails like I do below, just clink on the Inclinkz icon below and they will help you get started.

 Creativve Cuts and More

My sponsor for this challenge is Creative Cuts and More.  They carry an endless supply of diecuts ready for you to use.  You have two weeks into which you are to make something other than a card.  Try one of CCandM boxes.  They are so much fun to decorate and very, very reasonable.

The winner of this challenge will again be chosen by random generator and will receive a sample package of Creative Cuts and More dies.

Second Week of "You Have My Heart"

We are still in the heart mode here at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.  We have gotten a number of entries so far, but would like to have yours if you haven't entered yet.  Just scroll down until you find the challenge.   Here is the Design Team's take on the challenge.
Vicki
This  little card was made using Just Some Lines image "emo will catch  you"  This is such a fun image.  I used a border punch down the right side, designer cardstock on the background mat. and  used the word "LOVE" from some embellishments I had.  Setting off the image is a heart cut from cardstock with a punch.

Also, if you have a chance, drop by the Just Some Lines site because their challenge this week deals with the heart also.   I accidently left off Petra's sample last week so both of hers is below.

Michele
The digital images from "Just Some Lines" are truly darling. I love this little girl chasing butterflies! I also love hearts and valentines so this is a great challenge. I hope you will join the fun.
My card for this week uses a new Valentine image from Angie Delarie along with patterned papers from Bo Bunny which I have distressed. I also added a die cut flower, lace, charms and other embellishments!

Petra
This sweet little lady is an image from Just some Lines and I just love her and her wonderful balloon. The image is layered on lots of patterend paper from My Mind's Eye, I did some machine stitching to give it a bit more depth and added some string, charm and a little half-pearl.
Petra
These two are so sweet together! Another adorable digi samp from Just Some Lines. I coloured the image with Copics and colouring pencils and layered it on lots and lots of EchoPark patterend paper. Some stitching, a little bit of twine, slightly distressed edges and a little wooden heart adorn the card

Valerie
Thanks for looking.

For my One Layer Card I am using Hearts in a Vase offered as a freebie on the blog of our sponsor Just Some Lines. I really like to keep the cards simple to let their designs take the spotlight. Here I printed on the card, layered the hearts, did some pencil rubbing and added a touch of glitter. Do join in the challenge, I really enjoy to see all the fabulous creations you share.
                                                                  --------------------
Don't forget my challenge is being sponsored by Just Some Lines.  Go and check the site out as the digis there are very reasonably priced.

A Vallentine Tag

I am in the mood for romance.  This little tag was made for Gecko Galz.  It uses one of their dancing couple images from one of their Two 2 Tango collage sheets.  The basic tag has a background made of  music designer paper which has a mannequin and a clock imprinted.  Additional items on the tag are a corner diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs, a couple of sticker hearts and sentiment and dainty lace down the side.  A loop of ribbon was attached instead of looping it over the tag hole..

Oops!

I goofed up and forgot to put in the link for entries for the challenge below THE LINK IS THERE NOW!

Challenge #53 - "You Have My Heart"

Valentine's Day is almost here so we thought you would want to do something dealing with the heart.  Your creation does not have to be a Valentine as such, but it must deal with the heart in some way.  Of course, it doesn't hurt to be romantic this time of year.
Vicki
This little card uses a Bird Couple image from Just Some Lines.  The two wedding birds are colored with watercolor pencils.  The image is then placed on the Waltzing Matilda die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  In the two upper corner are two corner dies from CLD.  Finishing off the card is a flower sticker.

Krisha
I chose Emo I will Catch You from Just Some Lines.  Such a cute and playful digi image, colored with markers then fussy cut out.  Quilted heart was made with snippets and the sentiment was taken from my Granddaughter's stash!

Michele
Here is a sweet little girl digital image from "Just Some Lines" and she is bringing Valentine wishes. I colored her with pencils and laid her out on a heart doily with decorative papers. She is definitely getting me in the mood for Valentine's Day and making many more cards with heart themes! I hope you'll join the fun.

Sharon
I just love the "Emo" Character from Just Some Lines - she's so cute!! I've made this tag with Distress Stains and coloured Emo to match, added some lettering, rubber stamped swirl and a sheer ribbon to the top!

Valerie
My tag has been made from distressed and gessoed cardboard.

I have used Emo Amber and the Heart Balloon to create my CAS card. I added some fine-liner hearts to the red base card. The colouring was done with my pencils and is really accents of colour. I hope that it conveys the theme and inspires many of you to come and join us!
My sponsor is Just Some Lines.
Jenn Borjeson: Guest Designer and Former DT Member
I used Wedded Bliss (http://justsomelines.com/shop/wedded-bliss-birds-p-666.html), printed directly onto the DP and colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits. I added some glitter and a sticker sentiment.

Now for my sponsor

Just Some Lines has some great stamps that we will be showcasing the next couple weeks.  Drop by their site and see if there is something there that you can use.  I am sure there is.   JSL is giving 4 digis of your choice to the random generated winner.

Drunken Stampers Challenge #113

This is my first card for Drunken Stampers.  The theme is "Groundhog Day" or a "furrry animal".  Well, there are no groundhogs around my house (in or out) so I  used a furry rabbit who is not letting Groundhog Day concern him.  He seems more content with taking a nap in a warm bath.  Let the old groundhog see his shawdow.  He can handle six more weeks of winter!

He is a Stampabilities stamp, colored with Copic markers.  The background is various background stamps  (unknown).  His little comment is computer generated.
If you have a chance, drop over to the Drunken Stampers blog and enter a groundhog or a furry animal in the challenge.  Below are the dates of the challenges.

Second Week of Being "Charmed"

This is the beginning of the second week of Just Some Lines' challenge using a charm.

My little image is hanging on to my charm which really looks like an oversized stone.  She is colored with Copic markers and I thought the rub-on sentment was perfect for her,  I very aeldom use stickers and I have so many of them so the little hearts were placed on the border.  It seems that everything I have done the past two weeks has either been red or pink. Maybe my color scheme will change after Valentine's Day.

The DT is broken down to two groups:  Midnight Margaritas sand Bahama Mamas.  I am on the Midnight Margaritas which is great as I seem to be on the computer at midnight every night. The groups will be alternating for the Saturday challenges.
