Tag Tuesday

I decided to do things a little different this year by entering a number of challenges.  My first entry is for a "New Beginning" theme on Tag Tuesday.  This tag emphasizes the Beginning with a background that is vast, void of shape.  I took watercolors and combined the blue that would be the sky, the green and brown that would become the earth.  Time began at creation  The clocks in the background were  made with a glittery gold paste.  The words were made with my label maker and the girl is a sticker.

Decorating with Poinsettias

I am still decorating.  Again it is with poinsettias.  If you are using images which can be used to "Deck the Halls", now is the time to enter my challenge below as you have only two days left  to join.  I am giving away a grab bag from Will Frog Creations to a random entry.

This time I made a tag using the Colors of Christmas which is Kard Krazy's Tag Tuesday challenge.  The dcolors are red, navy, and tourquise.  The side strip has a background of bleach swipes with a spray of webbing.

This is also being entered into Simon Says Stamp and Show.

This also qualifies for Creative Belli Challenge "R" embellishment.

Witch in the Moonlight

This is not your ordinary witch on this tag.  She went to the Farmer's Almanac and checked the dates of the moon phases so  she would be flying in the light of a Full Moon.  She is taking off to spend a night of spooking.

This is a tag for Kard Krazy's Tag Tuesday "Moon" challenge.  The stamp is by I Break for Stamps.. The moon is colored with a Copic marker.

Day and Night

What time is it?  Day or Night?  I created this for the Gothic Arch's  "Day and Night Challenge".  Instead of choosing one or the other I decided to depict both parts of the challenge. If you notice the main image at the top, it is an embossed half sun and half moon.

The clocks tick during both during the day and the night.

This piece is also for two other challenges. I decided to add the black and white banner at the bottom for the Tag Tuesday Challenge "Banners". The third challenge is for Creative Belli Blog which is focusing on  "101-Numbers".

WOW! Finally!

Well, I finally made Kard Krazy's Tag Tuesday Sampler.  The Scrapbook Tag that I made below was shown in the sampler  this week..  The challenge was to make a tag by scrapbooking it.   This has really given  me a boost to my ego!

Scrap A Tag

The challenge at Kard Krazy  this week was to Scrap A Tag.  This was a fun challenge.  I did a little make believe with my tag using a digital from Altered Artifacts.  I I hope you enjoy seeing this little creation as much as I did making it.

Other Than Paper

The Tag Tuesday Challenge this past week is to stamped on something other than paper.  This tag is a drink can.  I did a little Cuttlebug Highllight on it and stamp on the circle with Staz On. l The coloring on the tag is from alcohol inks.  I finished of the tag with a little silver-looking lace.

Mannequin

This has been the most interesting challenge that I have participated in.  It is the Mannequin Challenge at Tag Tuesday.  Their guest hostess picked this theme.  I have a couple of pics showing different views of my entry.  The first thing I did was to use my pattern stamp from B-Line.  I thought that would be a perfect start.  Next I used  a piece of gold heart and cut away most of it so it would fit around the neck.  Afterwards  I draped a piece of material from an old skirt that I had.  I clipped the top of the drap with a decorated paper clip.  Next to show the waistline I put a piece of trim around the waist.   The trim has an organza ribbon weaving in and out of a strip of pearls.

As an added touch I glued a safety pin to "hold" the pattern on the manneequin.

I felt that the piece was a little out of balance so I used a stamp from Artistic Outpost that had numbers going in different directions as I remembered when I sewed that almost all of my patterns had numbers or markings that meant nothing to me. Finally, I put a little scroll cutout from my Cricuit on the corner bottom to give it a little more weight and balance on that side..
I really enjoy making this mannequin.  I definitely will be doing this again even if it is not for a challenge.
