Before I show the work of the Design Team I want to say a fond farewell to Petra. She has been with me since I started challenges and I will miss her beautiful creations. It is with sadness that she has had to stop blogging for a while. My prayers and best wishes go to Petra.
This is one of a number of cards I am making for a friend. She said that she needed some sympathy cards. I hope she likes them. It is a white card. I laid it on a piece of brown cardstock to take my picture so it would show up. The stamps are by Stampin' Up
MicheleI tried another technique from the Technique Junkies newsletter this week for my DT piece. This one is called "over-stamped bands" and it is a great technique for highlighting a sentiment stamp. My butterfly stamp is by Hero Arts and the "Oh Happy Day" stamp is by Rubber Stampede. This card represents how I feel now that spring has finally come to my hometown! I wish you a happy day as well.
For the second week of “A Sentiment” Guest Designer Spot, I made a simple stenciled card. Then I adorned it with some silver butterflies, some crystals and a beautiful sentiment which is made of fabric. I like the contrast between the silver and golden colors. Have a magical week and keep playing along with us. We are eager to see your beautiful work!
All papers are Basic Grey Cupcake. The sentiment was computer generaed and printed. The bicycle paper clip was from Tiger. I based the card on the sketch given for Freshly made sketches 138
Week 2 of sentiments I used one of the sentiments from a Hero Arts set, cut with Nellie Snellen Ovals. I used a lot of scraps for this card, one oval and the butterflies are some glitter cardstock I found at a dollar store, the light pink border punched piece was in my scrap box so decided it was time to use it. Even the embossed pink was part of a base I had started and in the inside is the other half of the base.
