Challenge #77-"Use Some Ribbon"

Well, baby it is cold here in Tennessee.  Monday it is suppose to be 7 degrees for a high.  We need something to keep us warm.  Let's wrap ourselves, not in a blanket, but in ribbon.  That's right, ribbon!  The design team has some ideas for using ribbon.  Check them out below and then show us how you like to use this versatile crafting item.

My card is very simple, but I am happy with the way it turned out.  The base card is red with a white and lacey top.  The cutwork was made with two Martha Stewart punch.  I held my breath with this one as I wasn't sure I had enough space or too much.  It ended up perfectly punched this time.  The sentiment is a stamp from Stampendous.

Using a white cs base, I ran the front cover through my dot embossing folder, then added three strips of ribbon in a Washi tape fashion, repeating the dot pattern.  I found some matching buttons in my stash that matched the ribbons, so they were added to the far right.  A sentiment from Rogue Redhead Designs on a die cut finished it off.

On my ATC I used 4 different ribbons which made a very nice frame for the vintage image I used from Lunagirl.  Sometimes I forget how many ways ribbon can be used to enhance my creations.  I hope this challenge inspires you to get creative with ribbon.

Ribbons are one of my favourite items to use in my work. They are so versatile and perfect to give a card, tag ..... this special finishing touch. Instead of showing off the ribbon on top of the card for this project I used it as second layer by die-cutting a dry-embossed white square and filling the space with ribbon.
(Sorry for the poor quality of the photo, the sun has disappeared again and the light is very poor :-( )

This is a digital creation, including the ribbon down the left hand side 'secured' with heart brads. Everything used is from the 'birthday cupcake digital scrapbooking kit' that I bought from Sweet Stamps, who are sponsoring this challenge.

Week one of the ribbon challenge I used a bird stamp from Inkadinkado, it's one I haven't used for a while and it's so cute. You would think I would be tired of red by now but it looks really nice with the sahara sand cardstock and  paper I used.from a DCWV the  immortal love stack pad, the ribbon is Real Red.

The 2 sweet little birdies from Whoopsi Daisy fit so perfectly in the challenge with the ribbon they are carrying in their beaks. I decided to make them 2 little blue birds and went all pretty with the pink! A white bow add some more ribbon to my card. Papers from my stock. I'm looking forward to see how everyone uses ribbon on their creations!

Sweet Stamps

Thanks to Sweet Stamps for sponsoring this challenge. They have some  delightful stamps.  I especially like the fruits and vegetable stamps.  They have  also put some of their stamps on clearance.  .Maybe you can use them at a later date.  Getting stamps on clearance is a great way to build your inventory.
