More Leaves

Here are two views of a plaque I made to look like wood using acrylic paints on a base of gesso.  The center is a stamped image that I enlarged.

Bordering the greeting are leaves that I created with solid cardstock.  The colors of the leaves were airbrushed with Copic markers and I bent and twisted the leaves so they would have a realistic look.  Look closely behind the two main groups of leaves.  Can you tell what that mesh-looking stuff is?  Would you believe that it is the netting that was around my turkey last year.  Yes, I save everything!

I am posting "Leaves" to remind everyone that I have a challenge with the theme "Leaves".    Get your juices flowing and enter my challenge.

Also, time is running out on Challenge #2 "Think Pink".  It will be ending Sunday evening so get those entries in.

  1. These are very pretty, love the muted colors. ~Diane

  2. I save the netting also! This wallhanging is perfect for Fall! Stunning!

  3. Love this. That wood effect is brilliant and as for the turkey netting, what can I say, lol. xx

  4. Vicki, You really captured the true essence of fall with those beautiful leaves!
