Signs of Christmas

This is the second week for the challenge "Signs of Christmas".  I picked this as my heme as I knew everyone would really be busy preparing for Christmas.  This is a broad theme so let's see what you can create.  No backlinks please and make sure you follow the theme.  From time to time I get entries that just do not satisfy the theme.

I just love this door image found on the Gingerloft Collection, Stitchy Bear Outlet website.  I distressed the edges of the image and made a little (and I do mean little) bow for the wreath on the door.  The antique red print designer paper was placed on a brown base and a brown ribbon was added on top.  It is threaded through a buckle diecut.  On top I place a small decorated tree sticker.

For week two of the "Signs of Christmas" challenge I've made a card using a digital image by designer Kaz Krafts at our sponsor Stitchy Bear.  I started with red cardstock and added some pretty green designer paper from my stash.  I used the digital stamp of a candle and colored it digitally, print it out, fussy cut it and did some outlining with a black pro marker.  I added a sentiment from my stash,  This challenge is a good way to help you get stocked up on home-made Christmas cards.  I hope you will play along with our challenge.

For the second week of Signs of Christmas, I have made a card using an image from Kaz Kraftz and it is found on the Stitchy Bear outlet. I colored my sock digitally and layered it on a red scrapbook paper and then  I added it to two different Christmas papers I found on Pinterest. I adorned my card with some buttons, some ribbons, a reindeer and a small sock.Keep playing along with us and have a magical week!

I still needed to make some last minute Christmas cards, so I've made two cards using the lovely versatile Gingerloft's Christmas door image kindly supplied by Stitchy Bear Stamps, sponsors of the challenge. I changed the colour to green and simply printed. The shaped cards and other bits and pieces have been in my Christmas box for far too long - it was good to bring a couple of cards together using the lovely image.

For week 2 of the challenge I chose a sprig of holly and fussy cut it out. the image is from Kaz Katz at Stitchy Bear Outlet. The back ground is embossed with poinsettias and I added gold trim to the layer that the image is popped up on. The Season's Greetings is embossed in gold.  There is glossy accents on the berries to make them shine.
