Twinchie

It has been a long time since I have made a Twinchie.  What is a Twinchie?   Well is a piece of art that measure 2"  by 2".  This one uses an image from Gecko Galz.

Featured Designer

Today I am a featured designer on the Gecko Galz blog.  The first couple of cards are based on the January theme "Glitter".

The glitter on this card is on the snowflakes

The glitter on this card is from t he background of very shinny paper.

A large butterfly accents the Gecko Galz image and the butterfly background paper.

Another card using a wonderful Gecko Galz image.

The image below is a freebie thanks to the generosity of Gecko Galz.

More Babies

All this month Lunagirl Moonbeams are using images with the theme "Children and Babies".  This time I made a collage card of children..  If you look closely at Lunagirl's Homepage you will see these images plus many more on a sheet on her sidebar.  They are only $2.50 for all  those images (20 of them).  That makes it about .12 an image.

By the way have you noticed the Lunagirl blog?  Karen has put together an Adult Coloring Book which can be downloaded.   This is all the rage at this  time.  She has a sample of some of  the images you will get. This was on an April 15 2015 post.

January Theme for Lunagirl

The first theme for the monthly challenge for Lunagirl  Moonbeams for 2016 is "Babies and Childlren"  Take a look at all the lovely images that Lunagirl carries.  I am sure you will find it hard to choose just one or two images.

My first sample is a baby dressed in an old fashion dress.  I used this as my focal  point on the front of my card.

Twenty-four Tags

Gecko Galz has a number of creative activities that you can participate in.  First is the Customer Challenge.  This month the challenge theme is "Far Away Places'  Make sure you go to the Facebook page and enter. plus see what others have entered.  Below are a couple of samples I have made.

This card identifies itself with Paris, France while the one below has an Asian influence.

Another thing going on at Gecko Galz is the Twenty-four of Christmas.  Also this is part of our Christmas spectacular where each week we will be giving a lucky customer a free Christmas present just for shopping with Gecko Galz (just join the Gecko Galz mailing list to find out what the giveaway is for each week). But there is more  every day when we feature a new tag write us and let us know who made the tag and the first 10 people will get a free gift (we will email you with the details if you are one of the winners). Then at the end of the week we will have two Super drawings, the first is for customers who made a purchase that week, and the second for all those who responded that week to the tags

My tag was made by putting the tag image on top of a larger tag made from a piece of gold glitter paper.  The image was colored with Copic markers and the ribbon on the package is a heavy coat of Stickles.  Santa and the small package in the corner are stickers.

Here is another card made using the sweet little girl image from Gecko Galz.  The scene through the window is from an old commercial card.  The tree and toys are stickers.

Finally I have a free image for you thanks to the generosity of Gecko Galz.  I hope you enjoy using it.

In case you don't come back to my site again before Christmas, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Angels

Lunagirl Moonbeams are now working on their Christmas cards, tags etc. with the theme of "Angels" and they would love to have you enter into the fun.

I have a lot of people giving me old cards to use to recycle into new cards for the homebound.  I used one to make a scene through the window.  My Lunagirl angel....and Karen has loads of angel images---sits in front of the window reading.

Come join the challenge.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving with this card using a Lunagirl image.

Lunagirl "Chicken" Pecking

I chose to use this Lunagirl chickens image for my fall card this time.  It is hard to tell, but I added raffia on top of them to give a third dimension  to the card.  Drop over to the Lunagirl site, pick out a fall image and enter the current challenge.

Gecko Galz Team Samples

Again this month Gecko Galz is spotlighting the various team members.  Today is my day.  I made a couple of tags for the Customer Challenge theme Sugar Plum Fairy.

Below are some seasonal cards using Gecko Galz images and sentiment.

A free image for you.

Another Fall Fruit Card

This Lunagirl image was put on a piece of Gelli print that I made.  In the corner are some felt flowers to embellish the card.  Come over to Lunagirl and join the Harvest / Thanksgiving challenge.

Thanksgiving / Harvest Challenge

The fruits of Fall are here and there are beautiful apples at the grocery.  That fact inspired my first card as I could almost smell a pie cooking in the oven.

This card has an unusual background.  It is wrapping paper.  I think it is perfect for this Gecko Galz image.

One of my Christmas projects is a puzzle made from one of the background images.  Above is one of the corner pieces.
