"Spring: In Suspension" is what I named this mixed media canvass. It uses watercolors, acrylics, and Stickles. I did this a little while back and I am just posting. I really enjoyed creating this.

Lunagirl's Challenge
Lunagirl is still holding its "Flappers" challenge. Below is a card I made for the challenge.
When we go camping in the motorhome I usually takes loads of craft supplies. However, this time I forgot all my supplies except a couple pieces of designer paper and my acrylic paints.
To make this background I used a paper I had cleaned my brayer on. I liked the colors so I then stenciled on top of it. I used some ric-rack that I found at a local Wal-Mart store.
The background now looks like a wild retro 1920's background.

The "Birds" Have It at Lunagirl
The Lunagirl Moonbeams Design Team members are showing many birds the next two weeks as the theme is to Put a Bird on Your Project. Below are my inspirational piece. I took an unfinished birdhouse, painted it using acrylic paint and stencils and then Modge Podge birds all over the birdhouse including an owl on the back in the eves of the church. Below are a couple of views of the house. Now I need to varnish it so the weather will not hurt it.
I have loads of birds in my yard and I hope to see in the Spring some build a nest in the "church".

A Canvass with a Message
This canvass was made with acrylic paint. It is based on the saying "You can't see the trees for the forest". I like the canvass itself, but am not pleased with the writing on it. Also, I needed to get a better camera angle on the canvass.

Just Playing
Here is a piece in my art journal I made recently and posted on Facebook. I was just playing around with my Gelli Plate and acrylic paints.

Just Playing Around
I took a piece of Gelli Plate print that was left over from a previous project and decided I needed to put an image in the forest. I am pleased with the way it turned out.

More for the Road
Since my challenge "Let's Stencil" is ending tonight, I thought I would post another stencil piece this afternoon. This uses almost all the acrylic colors I own. I was just playing around and came up with this.

Art Journal Page
The past couple of days I have been working on some art journal pages. This is one of my favorite. The picture does not show it, but the purple has a sheen / glimmer / metal appearance. I think that is why I like this one the best. The page has many layers and is topped with a layer of green paint used as a fern.
I will show some of the others in additional posts later.

Listening to a Bird's Song
My challenge and the entries of others have really given me loads of ways to relax. Why isn't it I can't relax? My doctor is always telling me that my problems are stress.
Not too long ago I did a tutorial on Acrylic Embossed and this was the card I made for it. I never got around to posting it on my blog. Also, it shows another way to relax...listening to the song of a bird.
This card does not have any stamping. I used only embossing folders and acrylic paint, Nestibilites, a diecut, and rub-on letters.
