Love is in the Air

Love projects are filling the net and this is definitely true with the Lunagirl Moonbeamss.  Below are some that I made for the month of February.  All of these cards use the lovely romantic images of Lunagirl

The card below does not use any digital images, but the inside does have a pop-up heart.

 

 

 

Thanksgiving / Harvest Challenge

 

 The fruits of Fall are here and there are beautiful apples at the grocery.  That fact inspired my first card as I could almost smell a pie cooking in the oven.

It is the first week of November and the Lunagirl Moonbeams are having a "Harvest / Thanksgiving" challenge.  It will end on November 30 at 3:00 PM so get  your entries in.  If you have never entered one of the Lunagirl challenge, here are the guidelines for the challenge:

Any craft or medium is welcome. one of

Vintage style is encouraged but not required.

Use a Lunagirl image and your entry will count twicage in the drawing!

Here is another card for the season.  The Lunagirl pumpkin image is on a Gelli print I made and it is embellished with small felt flowers.

Lunagirl's Challenge

Lunagirl  is having a great challenge- "Animals". and she has changed  her challenges to  monthly challenges.  This gives you plenty of time to created something with the theme.

Lunagirl Goes Botanical

Lunagirl Moonbeams are going botanical this week as they create items for the theme "Fruits and Flowers". This is such an easy theme and the Design Team would love to see what you can create with this theme.  Below is my piece of inspiration.

My card uses one of the beautiful Lunagirl floral images.  I printed it three times and then cut two of the images apart and put them on back of the first image with dimensionals so the flower would have a 3D effect.  A couple of the leaves were done the same way.  The sentiment is by Stampin' Up.

Lunagirl Moonbeams Send Letters

First I would like the best Design Team on earth.  It only takes a phone call or an eaemail and they just jump right in and help out. They created their samples and posted just as if I had here.  Thank you Design Team    I am not out of the woods yet, but at least I can type a little without hurting.  Just before Christmas I was diagnosed with cancer and right after the holiday I had a mastectomy.  It was in a very early stage and they think they caught it in time. So.....to all my blogging friends, I urge you to have a mammogram when due.   Now to better things...

Lunagirl is in its second week of  "Letters and Postcards".  The entries Karen has had have been lovely.  You have approximately four days to enter so go have a look and then enter.  Here are my samples for the challenge.

Lunagirl is Having Santa

Lunagirl Moonbeams  is having "St Nick" as their challenge again this week.  This is the second week.

I made a distressed card with my choice of designer paper and inking the edges of this lovely Santa.  The background actually has three papers.  Down the right side are three token squares and at the bottom I used a Spellbinders diecut  on which to place the date

Old Saint Nick

"Old Saint Nick" is the challenge for the Lunagirl Moonbeams which started today.  There are loads of Santa images on the Lunagirl so go and pick one out.  You don't have to use one of Karen's images for the challenge, but it would be nice if you did and you would be entered into the challenge TWICE.


My card uses a "Freebie" that Lunagirl had posted in the last couple of weeks.  I love the Santa and girl in this digital.  The image is posted on a vintage print and I use to scraps from previous cards and on the one at the side I mounted three shinny little reindeer.

I am also entering this card in Unruly Paperarts "12 Days of Christmas Linkup".

Are You "Yellow"?

Are you a "Yellow" person?  That is the color I am featuring on the Lunagirl Moonbeams site.  You don't have to use yellow.  You are asked to create something with your favorite color.

 

This is a sympathy card I made recently for a friend using a Lunagirl image.

What is your favorite color?

Your Favorite Color is the theme for the challenge of the Lunagirl Moonbeams the next two weeks.  So pick your favorite color (if you can) and create an entry with that color as the main color of your project. 

I decided that Yellow would be my favorite color for this time.  My favorite seems to change with my moods.  Therefore I thought I would be "cheerful" with yellow.  Below is my first creation for the challenge.

Lunagirl's Challenge

Lunagirl Moonbeams' Challenge

Lunagirl has just begun its newest challenge. It is "Vintage Gothic".  I don't really do gothic, so I had a little trouble deciding what to create but this is my card.

Challelnge #86 - "A Bouquet of Flowers"

Recently I had a challenge in which you used flowers as an embellishment.  This time you are to use an image of some flowers.  We would prefer an image of a number of flowers ie. a bouquet instead of a single flower.  I hope you have fun with this challenge and the Design Team is anxious to see what you create.

This lovely image is from Lunagirl.  I simply added layers of cardstock that matched, added some white satin ribbon, and a stickpin given me by a friend.

I thought I would try something a little different this time.  I made an art journal page collage using a vintage flower image and a mother's image.  The collage papers were scraps of Gelli paper that I made.  I also used a vintage mother's image for Lunagirl's Mother's Day challenge.   When I first started I wasn't sure how the vintage images would look on the bright papers.  Many coats of Gel Medium were put on these pages.

 

Hazel

I used a pale green pearlescent card blank on to which I matted some torn sentiment paper, spotted ribbon and rub on lace. The image is Lunagirl's 'daisies etc' which I matted on to a piece of textured card\

 

 

Petra

The focal point of the little tag is from Lunagirl Moonbeams. It is set on Bazill Basic card and a dry-embossed, inked and coloured tag. I embellished the tag with a ribbon and a butterfly.

Barbara

For week one  was given this image, I sized it so I could make an ATC (artist trading card) I used scraps from the scrap box that were left over from other projects. I cut the ovals with the Nellie Snellen Dies, the sentiment is a very small woodblock stamp I bought from The Butterflly Moon, I think it is from a large set of tiny sentiemnts from Hero Arts. I then added the scrap of ribbon that was just sitting on the desk as I was finishing up. I put stickles on the image flowers although it can't be seen.

I had fun making this card because I love flowers. The image used is from our sponsor Lunagirl Moonbeams and it is so beautiful and romantic. I wanted the card to be entirely monochromatic so I used blue a lot.Just the sentiment has a different color.  Keep playing along with us and have a magical week

Spring and flowers and fairies and all kinds of good things go together in the real world so I have brought them together on my little ATC.  The flowers and fairy are both Lunagirl images.  Have fun creating.

Mother's Day Challenge

Mother's Day is this weekend so naturally the challenge at Lunagirl Moonbeams this time around.is  "Mother's Day" I used one of the Lunagirl vintage mother images on a piece of distress sheet of music.  Karen at Lunagirl has some beautiful images for this challenge.  I hope you will drop by and see if there is one you can use..

Lunagirl Moonbeams Showcase Showgirls

Lunagirl Moonbeams are showcasing "Sassy Showgirls" in their challenge this week.  This is really a fun challenge. 

This is my inspirational piece of what I call Vintage Rockettes!  The printed background out of designer paper has two glittery flourishes which hold back the paper curtain.  The blue at the bottom acts as the stage and a wire / mesh ribbon accents the card.

"Shabby Green" Continues at Lunagirl

The green color theme continues at Lunagirl and this is my card for it.   I used a green base card and added various shades of green cardstock.  Also I added a piece of homemade paper that I made about two years ago.  The image is by Lunagirl and I added a couple of stickers, a duckling and a small chick on top of the image.  Finishing the card is a small bow left over from Christmas.



Lunagirl Moonbeams' Challenge

The Lunagirl Moonbeams are having a "Shabby Green" challenge.  It is the perfect challenge for the beginning of Spring.  All the creations from the Design Team have many shades of green on them.  Dig around in your stash and create something that is "Shabby Green" for Lunagirl.

Besides using different shades of green, I did do something a little different.  I cut the lacey part of the ribbon I had and used only the lace this time.

Lunagirll Moonbeams' Challenge

Lunagirl Moonbeams' challenge with the theme "Vintage Red" ends Sunday so hurry and get your entry in.  This is the latest piece of inspiration I made for the challenge.

This card shows off three Lunagirl images and one of their red backgrounds.  I accented the card with a white circle of cardstock and trims made with punches.

Lunagirl Moonbeams' New Challenge

The Lunagirl Moonbeams have started a new challenge --"Tea Party".

 I used some blue cardstock as the mats to the Lunagirl image to match my designer paper with blue in it.  As an embellishment I used a teacup, another Lunagirl image, to accent the main image.

A Collage

Here is a little collage card I made using some Lunagirl lovely digitals.  It has the Paris touch as the Lunagirl Moonbeams are having the theme "Meet You in Paris" for their challenge.
