Age of Aquarius

My samples for this month's Gecko Galz challenge Age of Aquarius are below.  I used images that had a double view.  It was fun trying to find other digitals that would layer with them.

"Dream" Challenge and Christmas Tagsl

Below are a couple of samples I created for the "Dream" Customer Challenge.  I used some Cinderella images on my two cards.  If there were anyone who had a dream in life, it was Cinderella.

I used a book page for the background on this card.

Below are my Christmas tags.  This first tag is a little unusual for me as I have never made a tag go sideways.  All images are from Gecko Galz.

Customer Challenge

The Customer Challenge for the month of August is Seaside.  My tag and card below are my samples for this challenge.  Both the background and swimmer image are from Gecko Galz. .  The flower at the top is a printable from Pinterest.

The card also uses Gecko Galz digitals.  In addition, I added a strip of blue foil down the side as an added touch of bling..

Moonlight and Magic

Moonlight and Magic is the theme for February's Customer Challenge.  My sample has a distance moon on which I placed a Geck Galz image.  I decreased her size so she would fit on the moon and used butterfly wings as her angel wings. The background is a collage of papers.

I have just started putting tutorials on YouTube and I would love for all my visitors to this blog to find them and then subscribe.  This is my first attempt at this so please bear with me as I am learning and my first videos are not the best.

You can find my videos here.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWTuW-zPbQ2HZ1Px_cu2r3w

Also please offer suggestions on how I can improve.  Just send them to vlromaine@bellsouth.net    There are 4 videos in all.  PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!

Gecko Galz Go to the Beach

Most of the  summer vacations we have taken have been to the beach.  This has been my influence for my Gecko Galz samples this month.

A tag with chalk background and loaded with Gecko Galz images

The two cards are made with a SPARK by Carolyn Dube   SPARKS are backgrounds she makes available to encourage and inspire creativity. I use this one two different ways.

Summertime

One of the challenges on Gecko Galz this month is Summer.  I have used a number of images on the following card that are from Gecko Galz.  The main image is theirs along with the seashell.  Behind the main image I used some water-designed paper.  The sentiment is from my stash.

I always consider poka dots a part of spring and summer.  I used them as a background for my lady. The butterfly and heart embellishment are from my stash and the sentiment is a stamp.

Asian Theme

This month the challenge for Gecko Galz is "Asian Beauties".  Below are some samples using the lovely Asian images and some beautiful backgrounds.  If you go through my blog you will notice that a number of my cards are sick cards or sympathy, because I make many to send to my church congregation.

Don't you just love the background on this card.  It is one of many in a paper pack found on the Gecko Galz Etsy site.

Below is a tag with two additional Asian beauties from Gecko Galz.

Theme---Paris

One of the first things I think about when the word Paris is mentioned is the art.  Below is my interpretation.  The main image is from Gecko Galz with various embellishment obtained from old greeting cards and from my stash.

Putting on the Green

What is more appropriate for March as "Putting on the Green".  This is my interpretation of the Gecko Galz theme for the month.

The background for this card is actually a sheet illustrating a Bingo card.  The two beautiful waxy bees in the corner or actually envelope stickers.  Someone gave me a bag of the stickers about two years ago and I have loved using them ever since.  It is not possible to tell, but I used some clear Stickles on the rose to give the card a little bling.

Christmas Tag

Gecko Galz is having a 24 Tags of Christmas challenge theme.  This is my Winter Tag.  I thought I would do something a little different.  I used  an image from Gecko Galz of a snowy mailbox and added parts of several Christmas picks as embellishments to give it a little sparkle and more of a Christmas feeling.  Also some burlap from a pick, along with some red berries were attached and some Liquid Applicator was added making snow on them.  At the bottom the words "Merry Christmas" were cut from the original image.

I hope you like my idea of combining the different elements.

Santa is Comming(

Christmas Day will be here before we know it.  I have used below some of my favorite Santa images from Gecko Galz.  The first one is the typical Santa image, while the second is a traditional antique Santa image.

Below I added two rows of Diamond Dust to add a little glitz to the card.
I really like my color combination in the next card.
I hope you like what I created with these Gecko Galz imagas.  Don't forget Wednesday is the $1.00 day!

October Time

The minute October arrives most people and all the stores think of Halloween. The theme for October at Gecko Galz  is "Things That Go Bump in the Night

I really don't do Halloween cards.  However, I did make a popup card which took right much time.  I apologize for the size of the Gecko Galz raven, but I wanted a realistic size for my fence.

Above is the outside of my card with a pumpkin which has been embellished with Stickles.  Below inside is the jack-o-lantern which pops up.  It took a while and a couple of tries to him him to pop up.

Since I don't do Halloween, I made a couple additional cards using some of my favorite autumn paper from Gecko Galz.

A Touch of Autumn

This month the theme at Gecko Galz is "Autumn".  I tried to make three different cards using my favorite images from Gecko Galz.  I love the different backgrounds Gecko Galz has.  This is only one of them and I have used it in two different cards.

I am really pleased with the chalk background  I made on the card.  It matches pretty well with the background of the image.

This is one of my favorite images of a bee.  I used a woven mesh as a mat under it

More Ocean Samples

Gecko Glalz  is continuing this summer with the theme "Ocean or Sea". Here are some unusual cards with the theme.

The first card I will probably not make very often.  It is so time-consuming.  However, I really like the way it turned out.

 One side opened.

The following card was a fairly quick and easy.  It is a flip card.

By the Sea

By the sea brings thoughts of mermaids, the theme this month at Gecko Galz.  Since I was working with mermaid images, I thought watercolor backgrounds were appropriate.

I especially like the way the image on the second card fits into my watercolor background.

Lastly I created a tag using some more images from Gecko Galz.

Don't forget that Gecko Galz has $1 Wednesday.   You can really get some outstanding image sheets for a $1.
