Santas Everywhere!

Yes, there are Santas everywhere on my blog just like at the mall.  However, I really don't know that this year as I haven't been to the mall.  My family has all decided that there will be "no gifts" this year as almost everyone is too old.  For my teen grandkids, they will get something of mine that I cherish and for the baby grandchild he will get a toy or something special from me.

Bach to Santa.  Here is another card with a jolly ol' Santa on it.  The image is from Gecko Galz's Santa Jewel It sheet.  The sentiment is from a stamp I received last Christmas.  I put it on a Spellbinders diecut and attached two shinny bows.  For extra bling I added Stickles on the package bow Santa is holding.

This card will also be entered in Unruly Paperarts' 12 Days of Christmas Linkup.

Christmas Tag

http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.com/Gecko Galz is having a 24 Days of Christmas Tags and today is my day to show a tag.   This is a very festive tag as the tag itself is made from an old card I had received a while back and had saved..  It is full of flowers and various shapes and is full of glitter;  I cut out part of a Gecko Galz image from the Christmas Carols 1 sheet and glued to the front .  A ribbon in a coordinating color was added.

Make a visit to Gecko Galz each day and see a different tag made by a Design Team member.

Vintage Christmas Card

Here is a vintage card using a lovely image from Lunagirl.   This card called for my favorite lace.  The little pearls below the image spell "Wish".  Lunagirl Moonbeams is still having the challenge "Holiday Children" and I am entering this in the 12 Days of Christmas Link Up at Unruly Paperarts.

Let's Join the Party!

Unruly Paperarts in having a 12 Days of Christmas Link Up Party and this Santa card is one of my entries.  It is vintage-looking Santa from Gecko Galz  which I put on some striped designer cardstock I had stashed away.  I did not make the card completely vintage as I added some modern red flowers, some chipboard letters and a glittery tree.  Drop over to Unruly Paperarts and see all the entries.  You may want to enter also as it is loads of fun.

Christmas Pins

Here are two pins I made for my crafting group. Half of the group will get the poinsettia and half will get a snowman. I used six of the Gecko Galz snowman images for the snowman pins and the poinsettias are red, pink and white. I think my crafting group will feel a little more festive wearing a cute Christmas pin.
I am entering these into the Unruly Paperarts challenge. 12 Days of Christmas.

Second Week for a Digital Card

The challenge which is in its second week it to make a completely digital card.  Both the background and the image must be digital.  Here are a couple of ideas from the Design Team.
Vicki
The beautiful digital Christmas plaid background is from Coosty Creations found on the Stitchey Bear Outlet. The children in the snow is a digital from Lunagirl.  It just happens she is having a challenge on Holiday Children.  As added trim I put a row of red flowers ribbon down the left side.  They resemble poinsettias.  .

This was produced digitally using the lovely poinsettia background paper kindly given by Stitchy Bear Coosty Creations, together with the sweet image and verse that I found for free download from Vintage Fangirl here.

Michele
For this tag I used digital background paper by Stitchy Bear designer Coosty Creations and in the corner is a digital stamp of poinsettias also by Coosty Creations.  The poinsettias were colored with colored pencils.  The Santa is a rubber stamp by 100 proof press. I outlined the poinsettia digital stamp and the rubber stamp with black pen.  To finish I added the "no peeking" sentiment, some green stars and ribbon (all from my stash).  I will add a "to" and "from" on the backside and attach this to a gift this Christmas!
Karla
For the second week of "Use a Digital Background and Images", I created another card that is 100% digital. The background papers are called Poinsettia and are by designer Coosty Creations of Stitchy Bear. The lovely image you see is an vintage postcard I found on Pinterest. All the others elements I used to adorn my card are from the internet. Have a magical week and keep playing along with us!
Barbara
For the second week of the challenge I used the same poinsettia image but made it larger and since I like pink poinsettias I coloured them pink, and fussy cut the image out. I also chose the green background digi and layered it on a scrap of shiny pink paper. I needed to add something to the right side so used some gold ribbon and then embossed the sentiment with versamark watermark and detail gold embossing powder

Christmas Tag

I have made a number of Christmas Tag.  This  tag uses a cover on a throw-away food tray as the base of the tag.  The silver piece was perfect for a shiny background.  The blue is a piece of a Gelli print that I had made previously   The images are from Gecko Galz.  Two rows of silver ric-rack finished off the tag.

Thanksgiving Greetings

Here is wishing everyone a very pleasant Thanksgiving with family and friends.  This card was made for Lunagirl's "Children's Holidays".  My card is a gate card with the Lunagirl image attached to the left side of the "gate".  I think this image is so cute.

Challenge #100- "All Digital-Backgrounds and Images"

I can't believe that this is my 100th challenge.  Time has gone by so fast.  Since the trend is going toward more and more digital work, I decided to have an "All Digital" theme.  This means that all backgrounds and images/sentiments should be digital.  The Design Team would like to see your digital work.  Here is ours.
Vicki
My background is a from Coosty Creations on Stitchey Bear Outlet.  It was placed on a solid red mat on a white card.  The sentiment is also a digital from Stitchey Bear.  it was placed on a recycled top that came on a  food serving pan which was given to us this week when my husband came home from the hospital.  I made the poinsettia  from diecut pieces.  I send out a lot of sick cards to my church family so this is really an easy one to create quickly.
Michele
The beautiful background digital poinsettia paper is by designer Coosty Creations of Stitchy Bear. The lovely vintage images -- the girl and the birds are by Lunagirl.  The rest is simple, a border, hole reinforcement, ribbon and some distressing. I hope you will grab some digital backgrounds or images and play along with our challenge!
Karla
For the first week of "Use a Digital Background and Images", I created a card that is 100% digital.I used Gimp to make it. The beautiful background paper is called Poinsettia and it is by designer Coosty Creations of Stitchy Bear. All the others elements you see are from the internet. Have a magical week and keep playing along with us!
This was produced digitally using the lovely poinsettia background paper kindly given by Stitchy Bear Coosty Creations, together with other digital images that were cropped and adjusted to mount on to the backing which was then faded at the edges.
Barbara
For week one I chose the poinsettia background paper and sized the image fairly small, although it was a challenge to colour. I didn't want to clutter the background up with ribbon, I thought simple showed the beautiful background paper.

Thanks again to Stitchey Bear Outlet for sponsoring this challenge.  Please click on the banner below and check out the site which has many digitals which I am sure you could use.
