Barbara, Washington, one of my team members, posted this tag and description.
Here is a tag which goes along with the "Here comes Santa Claus" challenge theme. I just love the vintage Santa images, so I had lots of fun with this one. I used the film strip die from Tim Holtz to cut the filmstrip frame. The images come from a sheet of Christmas postage stamp transparencies from ArtChix. The fits nicely into the picture areas with very little trimming.

Challenge # 5 - Deck the Halls
This challenge will be ending soon. You still have time to submit your entry.
Christmas is just around the corner. The first thing each of us usually thinks about is how we are going to decorate the house. What will we use? wreaths, holly, candles, poinsettias, or bells? Boy, this is a very expansive theme! Let's see how you are going to decorate your card or project. NO TREES please. This will be another challenge.
Here is some inspiration from The Cheerful Stamp Pad ladies. Each gal has put a description under her creation.
Please submit your challenge entry below. You may be the lucky winner of a Grab Bag from Wild Frog Creations which contains several fancy envelopes, a gift certificate to Wild Frog and several rubber stamps (15 images in total).

The first holiday decoration I put up is the wreath on the door. I always have a fresh wreath. The smell of pine needles really sets the mood of the season for me. My focal image is from the Artistic Outpost stamp sheet Snowy Woods. I used the brick embossing folder for the background with holly outline stickers as embellishment
I couldn't get a square piece of paper, then I couldn't get the sentiment centered and the....and then.... This is easily a 20 minute card!!!! LOL Some days I need to go back to bed and start over.
Vicki
The first thing we do at my house is to hang the swags of holly around the railings and the large deck. Therefore, I choose a digital from Altered Artifacts. The lady holding holly is accented with holly embellishments. Greeting is by Oogaloo. The striking black paper is Lustre Paper from Paper Temptress.
Krisha
Here is a simple card using Hero Arts holly and Sentiment from Stamping Up. The holly was colored and trimmed, then set onto a dotted embossed background paper. Below that is the sentiment on a double cut out from the Cricut machine. All was mounted onto a glossy red and then onto the card. A little red satin bow finished it off. This should have been a very quick and easy card to make, it took me all morning!!!

She closes every year from Dec 18th - Jan 2 to spend time with family. Orders will not be filled during that time frame. http://www.wildfrogcreations.com/

Decorating with Poinsettias
I am still decorating. Again it is with poinsettias. If you are using images which can be used to "Deck the Halls", now is the time to enter my challenge below as you have only two days left to join. I am giving away a grab bag from Will Frog Creations to a random entry.
This time I made a tag using the Colors of Christmas which is Kard Krazy's Tag Tuesday challenge. The dcolors are red, navy, and tourquise. The side strip has a background of bleach swipes with a spray of webbing.
This is also being entered into Simon Says Stamp and Show.
This also qualifies for Creative Belli Challenge "R" embellishment.

A Fancy Fold CD Project
If you haven't ordered your Fancy Fold CD from Pat Huntoon at phuntoon@optonline.net , you really need to. You are really missing some wonderful tutorials. Also it would make a perfect gift for a crafter. Below is one of the projects from the CD - a stationery box. One picture shows the outside and the other the inside of the same box. I have not created any cards to go in it to match the box itself yet.
The colors of my box are the ones on the Play Date Cafe PDCC#57 challenge-brown grey and on my box a hint of silver.

Card by DT Member Krisha

Krisha
Here is a card created by Krisha. She did some distressing on this Christmas card Even though it does not follow the theme for the current challenge "Deck the Halls", I wanted to post it becuase of the beautiful distressing.
Speaking of the challenge theme, have you joined the challenge yet? I am letting it run until December 1 as I was late in posting it so you have plenty of time to create something and post.
The prize is a grab bag of stamps and some other goodies from Wild Frog Stamps.
Also with this post I would like to wish everyone a most thankful THANKSGIVING!
Vicki
Ornaments for the Hall Decorations
Continuing with my "Deck the Halls" challenge I created this card with an ornament. I like to mix ornaments in with my greens. The background of this card is Bleach Swipes with a spray of gold webbing on top. The ornament and sprig of cedar are by Stampin' Place.
The colors of the card are the ones in the Play Date Cafe challenge this week. They are red, olive green and turqouise.
Studio L3's Compendium of Curiosities challenge is on using the Alcohol Ink Splatter technique. This is my interpretation.
Finally, Simon Says Stamp and Show is requestion samples of what makes us happy. Hangin ornaments and seeing the relection of lights in them is what makes me happy at Christmas.

Still Decorating for Christmas
Following the theme of my current challenge "Deck the Halls" I also chose poinsettias. Krisha in the previous post created a delicate card using poinsettias. I used a little different approach on mine. I chose to make them bold by coloring the poinsettias with Copic markers. The stamp is by PSX and the beautiful gold matting is by Paper Temptress. The tag uses highlighted cuttlebug.
