First Gothic Arch

This is my first Gothic Arch and I'm going to enter it into the Gothic Arches Challenge for Marie Antoinette.  I am pleased.  It is not too cluttered and I emphasize the "eat cake" by putting the cake on pop dots so that it is raised and sitting out of her hand.

The background is Glimmer Lace which gives a pleasant background without my doing anything else to it.   The scan is not really showing the various intensities of the blue background.  I scanned the arch on a blue piece of cardstock so the lace would show.  On her head is a small translucent piece of sequin I found on my desk when cleaning it off.  (Yes, I finally got my desk cleaned off!).  On top of the lace is a row of pearls.  In the corner of the arch is a piece of scrollwork that I cut from a die. The digitals came from Graphics Fairy.

Tag Tuesday Challenge

This week's challenge for Tag Tuesday is Christmas Colors- Red and Green.  We are unable to use Christmas images for this one so I chose a woman stamp from  Scrolls Work and grape and vine stamps from Stampin' Up.  I was afraid the "red" grapes would not look right, but when stamped on the green cardstock it appears a little closer to purple grapes.  The greeting is a sticker.  I'm really proud of my recent purchase of the lace at the bottom.  I think it gives my tag a final touch.

Faux Dominoes

Here is a card I made with Faux Dominoes.  I also made the background on each domino.  It is Faux Designer Paper.  The stamps used on the dominoes and the message are from Scrolls Work.  I think this made for a fun and an interesting card.

Bleach Swipes-Oriental Style

 

Here is another Bleach Swipes project.  This time I used gold webbing with it.  I really liked the way it turned out.  The stamps are from Scrolls Work.  Coloring was done with Copics.

CASE a Ginger

CASE A Ginger is "Copy and Steal Everything".  I really wish I could steal their talent, but that is not possible.  The Gingers I am stealing from today is a cross-between Hels and Lynn.

I started with a $5.99 container that I found when traveling last month at Michaels for 50% off.  I figure it was worth at least that much for a project.  I just wish it had a handle.  But what do I expect for $2.99! 

                                        

I took some acrylic paint and painted it solid green.

After distressing it a little, I covered it with some of the many digitals of women I had gotten from Twisted Papers along with some I had gotten from the Magic Moonlight site.

Here is one end of the box.  I added a little metal scroll to add a little accent.

I added a metal plaque on the front.

This is my finished box.  It is just perfect for all my Copics.

Face on a Tag

I am  running a little late, but here is a tag I made for Tag Tuesday.  The theme for this past week was "faces"   The stamps are by Scrolls Work.  The TJ Technique I used is Out of the Box or in this case Off the Tag.

Shades of Blue

I made my first skinny for the Gingersnap Creations' Challenge Shades of Blue.  I started with a basic and easy TJ Technique- Bleach Swipes with Spray Webbing background..  There are a couple of unusual elements.  Many times you see a heart with wings.  This time I chose a foot and embossed in a a pale shade of blue.  On it I put a shinny plastic figure.  Near the fringe is a masked corner diecut.  The last element was a piece of gold fringe with tassels. I was going to Copic spray it blue, but I really didn't have a blue marker that was dark enough to show up.  In any case, it does contain a number of shades of blue.

New Background Design

I have a new background design.  My old background was no longer going to be available.  Therefore I came up with this one.  I hope everyone will find it appealing and able to read my posts easily.

Three Digital Ladies

Here is a card I made from a digital from Twisted Papers.  They really have a great selection.   I used Cuttlebug Highlight on the side and the flower is one-third of an artificial flower.  I think it works perfectly with the lace punch I just bought.

The second lady has a background of Antique Weathered Wallpaper. She is also from Twisted Papers. 

To the right is the third lady from Twisted Papers.  As you can see there is a variety to choose from.  I tried to make  each one to show a different personality.  I hope you will find that using digitals is as much fun as using regular        stamps.  This card has two different background tenchniques.     The bottom mat is Brown Bagging and the top mat is Bleach Swipes.   

Playing Dress-Up

I wanted to play the Gingersnap Creations Challenge Fairy, but guess what.  I had no fairy stamps.  Well I decided to let my Magnolia stamp play dress-up.  Therefore I put wings on little Magnolia.  They are a little on the large size, but when you are playing dress-up, it doesn't matter if the  outfit doesn't fit.  In any case, here is my entry in the challenge.  I hope you like and think it is a little on the creative side of little Magnolia.   The background of the card is a modern grid background.

Perfect Image

A digii is the perfect way to find an image that you need.  Sweet and  Sassy has numerous to choose from.  I picked this flower image for this card.  It is colored with Copics.  The mat is made with Chalk Lines.  It is hard to see from the scan as I am using pale pink chalk.  The greeting is by Stampin' Up.

Another Digital

Here is another digital card.  This one is from Sweet and Sassy.  They carry both clear stamps and digis.  This time I did not crop the digi.   The TJ technique that I used on the upper mat is Starch Smoosh on white glossy paper.  What a fun and easy technique!  She is colored with Copic markers  The card is accented with a paper flower.

Stamping on Transparencies

Here is one of the ATCs I made for Gingersnap Creationns  Challenge Transparencies.  It  uses alcohol ink on a transparency.  This is the first time I have tried this technique.  I really enjoyed this one.

Let's Go Digital

The next couple of cards will contain digital pictures.  I hope you like them.  The first one is a digital from Sweet and Sassy.  Behind the girl colored with Copic markers is a frame using the Highlighted Cuttlebug technique.  The majority of the card is in layers using a border punch.  The greeting is from Rubber Stampede.
